SO...Tonight I went out with some ladies and we chatted a bunch at Panera's then headed on out to see "The Help".
My take is The Help isn't intended to be a movie about the ugliness of the era than an optimistic tale of what can spring from that kind of ugliness, about the ability of people to love one another even when they're surrounded by hatred. WOW! I assume the story was not how ALL help was treated, but as some and maybe the accepted way. It brought to light a familiar Bible verse:
Matthew 5:43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. [44] But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despise you, and persecute you; (KJV)
